Manoucher Yektai

Manoucher Yektai (born December 22, 1921) is an American artist who belongs to the school of New York School Abstract Expressionist.
Born in Tehran, Iran, Yektai dropped out of the Fine Arts Faculty of Tehran University without obtaining degree. Between 1945 and 1947, he studied with Amédée Ozenfant in Paris, France, and later in New York City. From 1946 to 1947, he studied at the École des Beaux-Arts and at the Atelier of André Lhote in Paris, France. From 1947 to 1948, he studied at the Art Students League of New York in New York City with Robert Hale.






 He has many works in American and European collections and museums, especially in the Museum of Modern Art of New York, the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, SFMOMA, and in numerous private collections such as the Poindexter collection.
Yektai became a naturalized American citizen in 1959.Wikipedia
